Dr Henk Botha is a recognized authority on business and sales negotiations, and negotiating with unions. He has practiced in the fields of business and labour negotiations, labour law, and labour relations for more than 40 years.

Since 1981, business executives, professionals and lawyers from countries spanning from North America to the Far East have attended his seminars. He has written several books, including
The Tough Negotiator: Never Pay Too Much, Settle Too Low or Concede Too Quickly and has created web-based video tutorials entitled The Negotiation Toolbox for the international business community. He created the much-acclaimed E.M.P.O.W.E.R.™ technology for designing a negotiation strategy with punch.

Dr. Botha also holds the I.A.C. Diploma and the degrees B. Iuris, LL.B. The SA Board for People Practices awarded him the distinction of Master Human Resources Practitioner (MHRP). He is also an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.

Over more than 40 years, he has experienced every facet of negotiations, from Management-Labour negotiations to action in the courtroom, mediation, buying and selling. Someone once called him the "Negotiation Advocate" and the nickname stuck!

He further holds the award of Fellowship of the Institute for Administration and Commerce. The Mediation Training Institute International, USA recognized him as Subject Matter Expert (SME). He is a professional member of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa, an International Member of the Professional Speaking Association of the United Kingdom, and a member of the Global Speakers Network and the Global Speakers Federation.
